  • Defend Music has announced that Brooklyn resident James F!@#$%^ Friedman will mix the first in a new series entitled ‘Go Commando!’. As a New York promoter James is well known for pushing the sound envelop, hosting a number of parties that have showcased the sounds of top European artists to New York crowds eager to hear uniqe electronic beats not readily available in the big apple. His recently established All Wrong night at the Tribeca Grand, has emphasized bringing over live acts, and since its inception in early 2005, Annie and Tom Vek made their respective US debuts, with other performances from Cut Copy, Hot Chip and David Gilmour Girls. As a DJ, he operates a similar policy pushing everything from minimal techno, through to tech house, so its no surprise to see this compilation covering the spectrum with a wide range of labels and artists including tracks by Bloc Party, Annie, Tiefschwarz, and Tom Vek.
