  • DJ Marky is already a veritable superstar DJ in his homeland Brazil, and is also recognised worldwide for his brilliant DJ sets and production talent. While based in Sao Paulo, Marky made the most important move of his career in August 1997, by travelling to the UK with fellow Brazilian D'n'B DJ Patife, intent on meeting their drum & bass heroes and showing them what Brasilian drum & bass artists could do. He quickly scored a gig at Movement at Mass in Brixton and with that one set firmly announced his arrival on the UK scene. The rest of the world started to wake up to Marky's brilliance with the release of the Brasil EP on V Recordings. This highly acclaimed EP contained the massive "Samba Raro" by Marky that showed the world that he was also a highly accomplished producer. The release of the The "Brasilian Job" in 2001 saw the album hailed as 'the best Drum & Bass mix album ever' (DJ Magazine). It went on to become one of the biggest selling compilations of all time in the genre and was accompanied by a worldwide tour. Since then there has been the huge track "LK" produced in collaboration with XRS, an album with XRS "In Rotation" and more tracks from Marky. February will mark the return of DJ Marky to Australia and New Zealand as he undertakes a tour that will see him zipping back and forth between the two country. MC Stamina, who is surely one of the most talented MCs comes along for the ride. For fans of the lighter end of D'n'B and that smooth Brazilian style, DJ Marky is a must-see!
