- Paul Arnold and his comrades have been chewing the Fat for over 8 years now. In celebrations of this they are hosting a series of Birthday parties throughout UK and Europe.
- Paul Arnold and his comrades have been chewing the Fat for over 8 years now. In celebrations of this they are hosting a series of Birthday parties throughout UK and Europe with the tour set to feature Fat! Residents Paul Arnold, Friendly, Merka, Tigerlily, B-Phreak and MC Xander. Chew The Fat! began in 1997 at the ‘Bug Bar’ in Brixton offering a range of broken beats that weren’t accessible elsewhere, and after 5 successful years began a monthly residency at Steve Lawler’s ‘Harlem Nights’ event in the side room of ‘The End’ club and a residency at London’s ‘The Key’ club. As if by right of passage the Fat! Crew soon outgrew their new homes and since September 2004 have moved into The End’s main room to host their own night. The Tour kicks off on the 24th September at Audiotrash in Warsaw Poland and will be running through October and November. The 28th October at The End will be a highlight of the tour featuring guest sets from Tayo and Soul of Man (plus more to be announced) alongside Chew The Fat residents Paul Arnold, Friendly and MC Xander. Chew The Fat 8th Birthday Parties September: 24th Warsaw, Poland October: 1st- Oxford, UK 7th- Glasgow, Scotland 8th Bristol, UK 14th- Berlin, Germany 14th Edinburgh, Scotland 19th- Brighton, UK 21st- Barcelona, Spain 25th- Leeds, UK 27th- Paris, France 28th- London, the End November: 4th- Bournemouth, UK More dates are still to be confirmed but lookout for guest appearance on tour legs from Stanton Warriors, Tayo, Soul of Man and Atomic Hooligan.
