  • The name Future Classic may be known to Sydneysiders because of the club nights thrown under this name featuring artists such as Quantic, Alice Russell, Rainer Trüby, Recloose, Dublex Inc and Kyoto Jazz Massive. Now everyone can get a piece of Future Classic, regardless of where they live as the Future Classic label unveils their first compilation previewing the immense quality of talent emerging from Australia’s own shores. The Future Classic. Attractions CD features twelve exclusive tracks that meander tastefully from the living room to the dancefloor. Under the guidance of Sydney DJ and label boss Nathan McLay you are introduced to a stable of artists quickly making an international name for themselves through worldwide twelve-inch vinyl releases on Future Classic and its club-oriented offshoot Risky Disko. The album is one of diversity and substance. There’s epic future jazz from Kidzen (back from working in the UK with 4Hero and Bugz in the Attik), soulful broken beats from Eddit (as charted by Mad Mats of Sweden’s Raw Fusion imprint) and a new track from Meem to wet us with the taste of funk. On a deep house tip Jamie Lloyd (currently being remixed by New York’s Brennan Green) hints at why he is being compared to Metro Area, while Deepchild (who counts Ursula Rucker and Jazzanova amongst his fan base) turns out his best remix to date in a sublime collaboration with Gauche. In tougher territory Mako (fresh from remixing UK duo Swag) is followed by a standout electro floor-filler by Stick Figures (supported by Damian Lazarus and DJ T) and another by T-Rek before things are gradually wound back with a brilliant broken beat rework of Amphibian (by Marlow from Germany’s Moon Harbour imprint) closing with the nu-disco sleeze of Touch Sensitive (alter ego of ARIA #1 dance producer Moustache). A limited edition 12 inch vinyl sampler is coming soon to coincide with the worldwide release of the CD. You can preview and buy Future Classic and Risky Disco releases from their local distributor Inertia. Future Classic. Attractions CD Tracklist 01. Eddit feat. Jon Lou – Preshus Nerves 02.
