  • A new release from FSOL's other identity, Amorphous Androgynous, is scheduled for later this year. The AA duo have been prolific in writing and playing material under this guise.

  • The next album from Dougans and Cobain, the duo also known as The Future Sound of London, will be another Amorphous Androgynous release, thus making AA an on-going project. The album started with further work on some music from The Isness sessions, although the three-year gap suggests there's a large amount of new material recorded. The tracks are also expected to be in a slightly darker, funkier vein, possibly less playful and more spiritual than some of The Isness. Furthermore, unlike The Isness, many of the tracks will run into each other (a la earlier FSOL/AA records), perhaps meaning tracks like The Witchfinder and The Witch Hunt are related and themed songs. The final tracklist is below, and it has been confirmed. "Air" has been renamed and is still on the record. It is also possible other songs have been renamed for the album, for example, Seasons and The Seasons Turn could well be the same. There are a number of other titles floating around, however, which have not appeared. Whether these will ever see release, or have been renamed, remains to be seen. These include Opus, kattaPilla, Zep (Good Love), This Is The Love, Tree Lined River, The Otherness, The Peppermint Tree, Wendover Woods, Marylebone Road, Seasons, Drifter, Watercolour, Ultraland, Kara Vozzi, Bagwan, Pimptek, Krishna, Colours, Willow Tree and Open Later. The Prophet, Billy The Onion, Air, Zep (Good Love), Indian Swing, This Is The Love and The Otherness have all been played live, The Prophet, Billy The Onion and Air were previewed on the SixMix show in May 2004. Also in the show was a longer, more 'finished' version of 'Yes My Brother', which may be the version on the album. Alice In Ultraland was one of the prospective titles for The Isness in the late '90s. The band are ressurecting the legendary Harvest imprint on the EMI label, famed for releasing psychedelic classics by Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett in the late '60s and early '70s, to release the record. The album will be out in September 2005, hopefully on the 26th. Promo copies haven't been released yet, but keep an eye out in the forthcoming weeks...
