- Big Gay Out, a ‘Not For Profit’ event which aims to entice the gay and straight community to shake it in Finsbury Park will have a very strong electronic music element this year. The event which aims to host 30,000 partygoers this year will feature a combination of mainstream pop-acts including Girls Aloud, Baby Shambles, Goldfrapp, Bananarama, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Human League, Tony Christie, Electric Six, Do Me Bad Things and Blazin’ Squad as well as dance, soul and hip hop acts such as Beverley Knight, Dave Pearce, Felix Da Housecat, Plump DJs, Lemar, Cuban Brothers, Terri Walker, Killa Kela and Lady Sovereign. The festival returns to London’s Finsbury Park for a second year on Saturday 23rd July 2005. Big Gay Out will feature 12 stages and tents, jacuzzis, swimming pools, a beach island, a giant outdoor foam party, fireworks and - “The Enchanted Forest Of David Hasselhoff” - an indoor fairytale wonderland with thousands of specially imported rainforest trees and gazebos from Hollywood that were built by the makers of Jurassic Park.
