  • The UK’s longest running house label, Azuli Records, are soon to reach a landmark that is normally reserved for the touring Australian cricketers – the big 200!. Known well for their landmark series including ‘Choice (A Collection of Classics)’ compiled by DJs including John Digweed, X-press 2, Jeff Mills, Derrick Carter, Louie Vega, Frankie Knuckles and Danny Tenaglia, then there’s the modern upfront collections ‘Azuli presents Miami’, ‘Azuli presents Space Ibiza’ and ‘Made in Italy’ and one of RA's favourites ‘Late Night Tales (Music and Stories Worth Staying Up For)’ series with artists such as Flaming Lips, Jamiroquai, Groove Armada, Four Tet and Zero 7. 13 years on and the upcoming ‘Deux - Sun Rising Up’ with remixes from Jupiter Ace and The Sharp Boys will mark their 200th release, a staggering and very deserved fete. The Azuli website is also a treasure trove of aural goodies with the label pinning down top jocks to mix exclusive guest mixes. Presently featured on-line are the Flaming Lips, Jeff Mills, Four Tet, John Digweed and an upfront DJ mix by Azuli label head, David Piccioni. For younger fans of the label, now is your chance to trawl the back catalogue which has been unearthed. Over 1000 tracks and nearly 200 CD singles, are available to buy. For those that like to dabble with CDJ’s they currently have a special offer of 5 CD singles for only £9.99. Fittingly they will celebrate the 200th release with an industry party at London’s AKA.
