  • It has been two years since the last Prime Mover party, but the crew is back in June for a one off night of drum'n'bass versus breaks from the Beats Working collective.

  • Prime Mover used to be a favourite event on the drum'n'bass scene two years ago. Originating as a monthly event held at the Laundry in Fitzroy it was characterised by fun nights with a friendly vibe from the punters (and staff), and a DJ crew that gave newcomers a go and knew how to enjoy playing. After one year of parties PM shifted venues to be able to party past the 3am close enforced at Laundry, but the Two Floors Up parties didn't last. This month Prime Mover returns with a Prime Mover Vs Beats Working party on at Brown Alley on Saturday 25 June. The PM DJs Dopebeat (Just Rite), Fickuss (Blazin, Kombat Bass), Direkt, Obliveus and MC’s Wasp (Just Rite) and Dr. Sponk (Gimme A Break) will all be reunited for one night to bring you the biggest dance floor bombs and rollers with precision rhymes and rewinds for your listening pleasure. The Beats Working crew will be there as well with OB1, Scotrod, Hans-DC, MC Direkt, and Ben Stacey, giving a taste of breaks in all its forms for those who like the BPMs slower or need a breather from the D'n'B. The party runs from 10pm to 5am. Best of all, entry to Prime Mover Vs Beats Working is FREE. Go dance the winter night away!
