- Rowan Blades, one half of Breeder, will soon call Australia home in a long term move down-under.
In a time when a number of Southern Hemisphere electronic music artists are packing their belongings and hopping on planes to Europe full of dreams, UK DJ/Producer Rowan Blades will soon relocate from Blighty to the warmer climates of Australia.
Known to many as half of the successful ‘Breeder’ production duo, Rowan has spoken exclusively to RA about the upcoming move and there is a distinct overtone of disappointment towards UK weather and an air of excitement about the move:"In search of a balanced life I have decided to move to oz to try out something new. The food in England sucks, so does the weather and so does sitting in a studio all day when its pissing down outside and there's nothing else to do being as I live in north bumblefuck, UK. The options for gigs in Asia are also better from oz and it’s a place I'd like to see more of. My first week there will be my 31st birthday and if i’m over my jetlag imp sure there will be a party of sorts happening somewhere. Look forward to meeting all the ozzies I know (and plenty that I don't).” From July 15 Rowan will call Australia home, so expect to see him on the bills of many Australian line-ups and studio collaborations with down under producers.
