  • Saeed Younan: going solo image
  • After first gaining notoriety as one half of Saeed + Palash, the duo which released a string of quality records and remixes on quality independent and major labels including Addictive, Strictly Rhythm, Yoshitoshi, Star 69, Bamboo, Distinctive and Sondos, Saeed Younan is rapidly building a name for himself as a solo artist. CD one of Tide Edit:07 has long been a favourite at RA HQ, and was the release which helped Saeed build his global profile and chalk up gigs at Space and Cream (Ibiza, Miami), Pacha (Argentina, Israel, and Spain), Cave, Acabus (Dominican Republic), +Soda and Venue (Greece), Vinyl and Avalon (New York), Womb, (Tokyo), Sona (Montreal), and Boa (Toronto).Speaking to RA:
I'm currently in the studio working on a Exclusive mix of Celeda "The Underground" to be included on my first ever solo mix compilation Titled "Re-mixed" on STAR 69. This CD will showcase not only my mixing ability but my production ability as well. The Tracks were compiled from my past and present production and remix work. out this summer.
To date, Saeed has released 2 mix compilations: Tide Edit (2002 on UCMG/Europe & STAR 69/US) and Addictive Beats (summer 2003 on STAR 69/US and SPG/Canada) with his third compilation Saeed Younan Re-Mixed due out this summer on Star 69. Tribal house enthusiasts can also look forward to the release of Saeed’s remixes of Club 69’s ‘Warm Leatherette’ and Suzanne Palmer’s ‘Sound Of The Drums’ on Star 69; and Todd Gardner Feat Shawnee Taylor ‘The Only One’ and BPT ‘Moody’ on Tweek’d Records. Expect the Washington DC native to support the releases with a busy North American tour.
