  • Ministry of Sound . comMinistry Of Sound is a name synonymous with the club scene. From its now world famous club, to the now defunct magazine and the very successful label it has ridden the dance music wave all the way. On Saturday December 11th Ministry celebrates it’s 13th birthday in style with the Classic Records founder Derrick Carter in play (his first gig at Ministry in over four years), along with a selection of his finest label mates and DJs. Born in 1991, the 1,400 capacity venue has been eclipsed by others as the premier venue in London, with the End and Fabric raising the bar, but it still brings big numbers to its Elephant & Castle address in search of a sound that over the years has changed and seen a host of the big name DJs performing. This gig will also mark Carter’s last UK gig of 2004, before his Chicago sound returns to the states and Spundae’s San Francisco NYE as revealed yesterday. Also on show will be Miss Honey Dijon, Amir Javasoul, Demi, Alex Sansford, Kenny Hawkes, David Duriez, Saturday Sessions resident Marc Hughes and more. Tickets are £15/£12 adv/£8 NUS and doors open at 11pm.
