  • After announcing the 9 finalists for the Nokia Terminal9 competition where unknowned and unsigned artists submitted their breaks, drum n bass or hip hop tracks for each one to be judged by a panel of industry heavies, the next phase of the T9 experience will roll into its 9 date Australian tour. The Terminal9 crew have gathered some of the hottest artists across Australia while booking the best venues at each location. From The Metro in Sydney and Melbourne to Brisbane's The Melbourne Hotel then over to Perth's Monkey Bar, with most of the venues fillling multiple arenas with DJs and live acts. Some of the acts booked to play are:
Downsyde, Rhibosome, Koolism, Shapeshifter, Phil K, DJ Peril (1200 Techniques), Vinyl Slingers, Jono Fernandez, Soma Rasa with Miss Brown, EK, 2 Dogs, Shredlock, Greg Packer, Q45, Mallinder, Bass Kleph and loads more locals from each location.
One of the main reasons for these parties is to let the people decide who out of the 9 finalists in the competition deserves the gong for best track with a huge stack of prices going to that winner including flying to London to get their tracks re-mastered professional by some of the best in the business. An SMS voting system has been put in place for each state with codes available from the Terminal9 website below. Each event costs a cheap $25 and can be purchased either at terminal9.com.au or on the night. The first event on the cards is in Byron Bay at C-moog tomorrow night, Friday 19 Nov. A competition for some free tickets will be appearing on RA shortly so stay tuned.
