  • Dance Music - We now have a Hall Of Fame image
  • Its happening – dance music is taking over the world!. Well not quite, but it seems that every week that the dance floor beats are gaining more and more recognition in the mainstream culture. Already taking up a growing percentage of commercial radio airplay the industry is now considered mature and big enough to demand its own Hall Of Fame. This will pay tribute to those who pushed the ‘dance’ sound in its early stages and although the names you may not have heard of before or they look a little ‘main streaml’ for your tastes there is no doubt that they have all played a very important part in developing the scene we now enjoy throughout the world. Selected by a panel of 1000 important players in the dance music the artists set to be inducted include the following: Hall Of Fame 2004 Inductees DJ’s: Larry Levan, David Mancuso and Tee Scott Producers: Giorgio Moroder, Pete Bellotte and Tom Moulton Artists: Barry White, The Bee Gees, Donna Summer Taking after the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame this is a chance to reward and recognized those who have played such an important part in dance music. Expect in future years to see many of the people who you enjoy so much now.
