  • TDK Cross Central FestivalWith August finally delivering some sunshine, two days of weekend escape are not nearly enough. Fortunately those fat cats in the banking sector have come up with the goods in the form of another bank holiday. Making its debut that same weekend (August 28 & 29) the TDK Cross Central Festival gives you something to get excited about with a glut of superb acts including Blackstrobe, Chicks on Speed, Dogs Die in Hot Cars, Matthew Herbert, Derrick Carter and Erol Alkan. Held at the Kings Cross Freight Depot the festival will feature nine unique spaces and outdoor stages, taking in nearby clubs Canvas, The Key and The Cross. Whilst other multi arena events always have a few stages you wouldn’t go near (hard house anyone?) Cross Central brings some welcome innovation to the festival calendar. And you don’t need Wellingtons or a plane ticket to get there. Sitting alongside some tasty art and film items on the program is a solid musical line up, including:
