  • Fabric keep rolling out the albums off their conveyor belt, with ‘Fabric 17: Akufen’ soon to be out in august. Mass production isn’t something you would associate with Fabric and its ideals, but with the top drawer nature of the releases why not showcase as much good music as possible. Known for his ‘Akufen’s My Way’ minimal techno album in 2002, Marc Leclair has now stepped up to the plate with his debut DJ Mix CD. Recorded in one sessions Fabric suggest this album is “…a minimal house tour-de-force, bursting with energy, excitement, and invention. The 21 tracks perfectly describe our new 4/4 ethic – keep it clever, catchy, and brilliantly detailed – and are beautifully mixed in an extremely individual style. Akufen’s love of Henri Mancini, and all things quirky, bleeds from the grooves”. The official CD launch takes place at Fabric on July 3 and will see Craig Richards and Michael Mayer also in the house.
