  • The new party venture in Melbourne run by the Melbourne Techno Massive , the Bass Clef Series, is a techno party focussed on artists. It is set to start with a bang with none other than The Advent playing live on 15 May 2004. The Advent started out in 1994 initially as a two piece, but then with Cisco Ferreira at the reigns. Elements of Life (1994), SHADED Elements (remix project), New Beginning's (1996), were all monster releases by The Advent. Then in 1998, the distinctive mixed album, Kombination Phunk was released. He’s overseen labels including Kombination Research and Alpha Recordings and worked with the likes of Luke Slater, Joey Beltram and CJ Bolland. A true techno innovator, don’t miss Cisco playing 100% Live – Advent Style! Also playing live on the night is Linas, who has had releases on Bush, Pornographic, Advanced and Wet Musik. His live performances have been described as a "wall of noise, the ability to create clean dirty techno that just keeps dropping!" Support on the night comes from Melbourne's techno DJ massive: Ben Cromack, PDT, Richie Rich, Simon Coyle, Dallas Raft, Matty Radovich V Craig McWhinney, Gene Hoffman V Daniel Rachelle. The party takes place at the Cricket Courts at the Westgate Sports and Leisure Complex. Early Worm Tickets are available for $30 from promoters, or you'll find presale tickets for $35 +BF available from the usual.
