It's a cliche but it's often true : Time flies when you're having fun! Freebase, Melbourne's Sunday night event for trance, psy and progressive is having a 4th birthday party on Easter Sunday, 11 April at Seven.
You are invited to join them to celebrate one of Melbourne's most enduring Sunday night gatherings, 4 years down the track, with some international music flavours direct from sunny Mexico! Special guests for the birthday party are Mindelight - live and Dj Andrreas.
Mindelight are a powerful and groovy psytrance live acts in Mexico, with partners Hernan Arber and Javier Calzada. The group has been going for a year and a halfand they play each weekend in different parts of the Mexico. Their tracks go from extremely full on to groovy and melodic moving tunes, with their characteristic live electronic guitar sets reminding us of the good old rock n roll days. Currently 'Mindelight' is preparing a remix of an Antidote's track, as well as preparing a 'Mindelight Album'!
Dj Andreeas has succeeded in the trance scene thanks to his very own style, which can be best described as an "energetic and Peach flavoured trance." Whilst only 21 years of age, he has been djing for four years and since then, has become a favourite on all Mexico's dancefloors. With a range that goes from progressive to full on trance, coming between minimal and his personal favourite: morning trance.
Also playing on the evening are the Freebase residents Alias, Dr B, and Hugo. Doors open 10 pm - 7am. Join the birthday party spirit this Sunday. Best of all, Freebase is FREE, just as it is every Sunday!
