  • Sonar 2004With the summer festival season heating up, the 11th edition of Sónar looks set to treat you with something different for both your eyes and ears. To be held in Barcelona on June 17, 18 and 19, the three day festival features more than 300 activities including DJ sets, concerts, a SonarCinema, and works in every multimedia format: including installations, net art, design, audio-visual projections and much more. Sónar by Day is a sophisticated affair. In addition to live concerts and DJ sets, the festival hosts conferences and exhibitions showcasing the latest developments in advanced art and music. Sónar by Night is an enormous cosmopolitan celebration. Each night DJs, VDJs and concerts from the broadest spectrum of dance music appear simultaneously in the 4 areas. This year sees hip-hop make a big impression on the Sonar roster featuring along side traditional festival heavy weights tech, electro and avante garde electronica.
