  • Melbourne's Betterdays has already created a sensation in 2004 with huge nights on New Years Day with France's DJ Gregory, Australia Day Eve with Miguel Migs, and St Kilda Festival with 1200 Techniques' DJ Peril. The next installment of Betterdays takes place on Sunday 7 March (Labour Day/Grand Prix long weekend) with special guest New York house DJ Carl Kennedy. Carl headlines clubs in New York City such as Centro Fly (voted America's number one club), Spa and the US arm of Miss Moneypenny's. In addition to these gigs, Carl also holds down residencies across the country in Las Vegas and New Orleans. Kennedy also finds the time to regularly tour Europe's best clubs, and after recently being asked by Roger Sanchez to spin exclusively at his private birthday party, Carl's uplifting soulful sounds have been gaining him the praise of the world's top DJ's. His sound has been described as delving into soulful and pumping house, with a distinctive Congress-style funky edge. Joining Carl Kennedy from 9pm on the night will be Franky D, Grant Smillie, Matt Wilko and Angela Maison. The party takes place at The Prince in St Kilda. Admission will be $25, only on the door.
