We all know not what to do on Black Friday - don't look at a black cat, don't walk underneath a ladder and do not step on cracks in the sidewalk - but there's one thing you musn't do, don't miss out on the breakbeats at Darksyde this coming Black Friday Feb 13.
Since it's inception back in 2002, Darksyde is known for representing the harder sounds of breakbeat - heavily syncopated beats and dark rumbling basslines emanate from the speakers. Garage Pressure's Farj and Paul Fraser have returned to the breaks scene after a long hiatus and they've roped in DJ Lombardo for a guest set. Previous guests at Darksyde include the nu jack swinger Oris Jay AKA Darqwan.
Lombardo is recognised as a pioneer of breakbeat garage and a new breed of DJs that are pushing the boundaries of dance music. He is currently a resident at the renowned London club Forward>> alongside DJs such as Hatcha (from Big apple records), Jay Da flex (BBC 1Xtra), Oris Jay (Texture) and Zed Bias (Hospital).
As well as playing at some of the major events in the UK, Lombardo’s experience has taken him to some of the big club nights in Ibiza, Ayia Napa, France, Italy and Australia.
Supports for the night include the Garage Pressure boys - Farj & Paul Fraser, Kid Kenobi, Q45, Ritual and Cause.
