  • Liverpool in the UK has always being synonymous with quality underground clubbing, but over the last 12 months things haven’t been as solid. However, things just got even better for those on Merseyside. Liverpool clubs 'Aztec' and 'Mango' have joined forces with Isle of Man’s Life Promotions to present a new clubbing experience in Liverpool. Taking up residency at the brand spanking, purpose built venue 'High Society' on Duke Street, the 'Aztec:Mango' night promises Liverpool’s starved clubbers a return to high production standards and quality line-ups. Kick starting of the new project will be Orbitals ‘Phil Hartnol’. Famed for creating seminal tracks such as ‘Chime’ and ‘Belfast’. This will be a return to Liverpool for Phil since his sell out live shows, most noticeably playing the midnight slot at the Millennium to 25,000 people at the Pierhead. Resident at the new night Steve Parry revealed his excitement for the joint venture ”I’m really excited about this new venture. It will be great to get a chance to play with such a wide variety of top class DJ’s on a regular basis. The club looks amazing and there’s no doubt that it will appeal to today’s clubber who expects more from a venue as well as the music they’re listening to.”, whilst the Mango main man Alan Green agrees “Its great to be working with Aztec, being able to put two successful underground nights under one roof whilst being able to give Liverpool the quality night it deserves. It makes it all worth while when I stand in the booth and look onto a dance floor of smiling faces.” Other artistes joining Orbitals ‘Phil Hartnol’ will be Crazy Penis playing a live set, Hacienda legend Graeme Park, Luke Solomon (Classic Records boss), Fingerlickin’s Lee Coombs, local boys Cookie Dough residents Ste & Terser will be making a visit with long standing Aztec resident Steve Parry. Whilst the Mango Soundsystem Massive (Albert Pop, TC and The Rev.) will also be in form. The opening night is Friday 3rd October @ High Society, Duke Street, Liverpool and then continuing on the first Friday of every month. Tickets are £10 adv, with more info below:
