Honky's have guests flooding through the doors to play the baby grand for the next month of Fridays. Tonight Weird Gear residents Mahi and Boogs are joined by DJ Matt Carswell. Hailing from Perth via Prahran, Matt strides into town with a sunny fresh DJing attitude. Mr Geoffrey starts your entertainment from 6pm.
Next Friday, September 12 two of the Midget Fidget enclave, Pat and James, who are residents of Deep Chord, sneak into Honkys to subvert your mind to the ways of deep, minimal and funky microhouse. There will be no resisting.
Honkys then pulls out the big guns on Friday 19 September, when DJ Assault from Detroit arrives! He has rocked parties around the world, including sets in Germany, Holland, France, Spain and throughout North America. Anything is game when Assault DJs, be it house, techno, jungle, R & B or whatever, as long as booties are bouncing. And each time the end result is the same; when he steps up to the decks and unleashes that high-speed booty-shake, the audience has only one option, to Shut Up and Dance.
