The annual radiothon to raise funds for Melbourne independant radio station Triple R, finishes at midnight this Sunday 24 August. Broadcast on 102.7FM, Triple R ask that you "Get On Board” – It’s Just the Ticket!" The radiothon is a timely reminder of the DJs in this town who have shows on Triple R, providing you with a selection of tunes that you may not hear in clubs.
The Triple R dance/electronic music shows start with Ennio Styles "Stylin" on a Friday from 12pm-2pm, then there's a double dose of Hip Hop with ‘Wordburner's’ Stewbakka and Bias B on Friday's 10pm-midnight. Shannon Giles then takes some trance-filled U-turns in ‘The Back Room’ on Friday midnight-2am.
Saturday afternoon is ‘Can You Dig It’ with Gavan Purdy from 4pm-6pm. On Saturday from 8pm-10pm, Seven's hard working publicist Clea Woods is the host of ‘Global Grooves’, electronica with world music. The well known Lady Erica hosts ‘Underground Flavas’ Saturday at 10pm- midnight, with the smoothest garage tunes around.
The weekend is not complete without a session with breaks specialist Brewster B's ‘Weird Groovin’ on Sunday 10pm-l midnight. You can even get a midweek pep up with the funk ‘n groove of Johhny Topper’s ‘New and Groovy’ show on Wednesday 2pm-4pm). Show your support for dance music on Triple R by subscribing to one of these shows on Triple R before the end of radiothon 2003.
