  • When Dee Kline’s Rat Records, Brighton based award-winning Supercharged, Camden favourites Pipe & Slippers, Notting Hill based Wireframe Records and Brixton crew Tempo Tantrum all come together to form the Breakbeat Connection, it makes a normally promoted event seem rather bland. This massive joint venture combines the skill, enthusiasm, and experience of these highly regarded names spanning across genres that include Electro, Hip Hop, Drum & Bass, Hardcore, House, Garage and of course Breakbeat to form one huge carnival event. The Carnival Sunday SoundClash is to take place on Sunday August 24 (before the Bank Holiday Monday) and will feature a versus line-up that should get any breakbeat-fan’s heart racing. The confirmed line-up for this carnival includes:
The Freestylers vs Raw As F**k Freq Nasty vs Krafty Kuts Shut Up & Dance! vs DJ Deekline Arthur Baker (Old Skool Electro set) Skool of Thought vs Ed209 Mixologists (Block Party set) Donna Dee / Ollywood / Reza El Sid vs Paul Rose
The event is going to take over The Electric Ballroom in Camden (184 Camden High St, London NW1) and will cost an easy £10. It will not only be hosting this impressive set of artists but it will also feature some of london’s finest break-dancers, live Graffiti, laser lights and visuals, live PA’s, and fresh entertainment. Considering that their last event pulled together 1,500 people the Breakbeat Connection are looking to ensure the fans have something special to remember from this years August Bank Holiday Weekend.
