There is already considerable excitement around Melbourne for the second Escape party, at Seven on Friday 18 July. The lineup includes a versus set with Gwill Morris (UK) and Luke Chable, and Our House, the collective identity and production name for Sean Quinn and Kasey Taylor. The party also marks the official launch of Phil K’s World Series CD in association with DJ Magazine. The “DJ World Series” is a collection of mix CDs created by DJ Magazine featuring talents from across the globe. The series gives the DJ a chance to showcase their talents, as well as present to the world some of the freshest music being created in their home country. This latest installment mixed by Phil K features tracks from the cream of Australia’s breakbeat fraternity. Catch Phil at Escape and you may also score one of the 50 give away copies of the CD. This will be your last opportunity to hear Phil before he heads off to Miami to show the world what Aussie breakbeat is all about. The event also features local DJs such as Mark DiCristo, Brewster B, Lynt, Escape Project, Obliveus and more over three rooms.
