Louie Vega's first solo album, Starring...XXVIII?, will hit the shelves on Friday, February 26th via Vega Records.
Split across two discs and spanning Latin, jazz, gospel, house and more, the 27-track LP is made up of two remixes and 25 collaborations. The project has been several years in the making, though most of it came together in the past 12 months. "As I travelled and toured, I met artists on the road and would record with them a few weeks later," says Vega. He worked with names old and new, from vocalists Byron Stingily, Jocelyn Brown and Soul II Soul's Caron Wheeler, to Crew Love members Nick Monaco and Soul Clap. The two remixes are of 3 Winans Brothers & The Clark Sisters' "Dance," and Funkadelic's "Ain't That Funkin' Kinda Hard On You?," which you can stream below.
