Rush Hour moves to new Amsterdam shopfront

- The Dutch institution will celebrate its new home with a three-day weekender in April.
- Amsterdam's Rush Hour record shop is moving to a new home. After 17 years at Spuistraat 98, the Dutch institution is moving to a bigger location up the road at Spuistraat 116. The new spot means more records will be on sale—both new and secondhand. "We wanted to move for a while, but it wasn't easy to find something suitable," says Rush Hour co-founder Antal. "We even checked for buildings in the outskirts. To find such a beautiful space in the same street is quite unreal to us. The new home opens in April. It all happened pretty fast… I can't wait until the opening, to party with our friends and artists to celebrate this next step." Rush Hour will mark the move with a three-day weekender running April 8th through 10th at OT301. On the Friday they'll team up with Sounds Familiar to host Dego and the 2000Black live band, with Volcov and Margie rounding out the bill. Saturday sees Mick Wills, Robert Bergman and Interstellar Funk getting behind the decks, with Beau Wanzer playing live. On the Sunday food and music will be on offer. Starting at 5 PM, it'll be a Soul In The Hole event featuring Sadar Bahar and Lee Collins. Tickets to the events are available here on RA.
