  • Lifetones' For A Reason full-length will get a reissue via Light In The Attic on March 18th. Charles Bullen's beloved band This Heat disbanded in 1982, after which he formed Lifetones with Julius Samuel. The group took influence from the cultural milieu of its native Brixton, "embracing the sounds of the local West Indian community to fuse reggae flavor to the kind of propulsive, rhythmic, and experimental music made by This Heat," according to the label. Bullen released the record on his own Tone Of Life imprint, and it's become a collector's item in the three-plus decades since, going for up to $350 on Discogs. For A Reason track "Good Side" also popped up on Floating Points' recent Essential Mix. The re-release follows LITA's extensive This Heat reissue campaign. Listen to "Good Side" below.
