  • London Electronic Music Event will oversee its own daytime stage at Bloc 2016. For the first time, the Butlins Minehead weekender will incorporate a programme of talks, workshops and panels, presented at The Cinema in partnership with LEME. Running across the Saturday and Sunday, there will be discussions on topics such as Equal Representation In Electronic Music (Jane Fitz, RBMA's Lauren Martin), The Art Of DJing (Intergalactic Gary, Billy Nasty) and NTIA: Party Politics, chaired by the NTIA's Alan Miller. Carl Craig, Ansome and DeFeKT will team up with London Modular for an interactive session on modular synths, and Powell will unpack his creative processes in a talk called Artist Insight. Two Q&As have also been confirmed. Mute Records boss Daniel Miller will sit down with The Wire's Derek Walmsley, before RA hosts a live Exchange with Detroit's DJ Bone. Professional and industry accreditation is available for Bloc 2016. For more details and to apply please click here. The festival will run from March 11th through 13th, headlined by Thom Yorke, Jeff Mills and Four Tet. Here's the lineup in full.
