  • Russell Haswell has collaborated with ALM/Busy Circuits on a new limited-run drum module in Eurorack format, dubbed Haswell's Taiko. As explained in Ryan Keeling's profile of Haswell, the module contains 30 hand-drawn waveforms pencilled in by the man himself. It takes ALM's pre-existing Taiko module into crunchier regions with the help of Haswell's wavetable sound bank. 12-bit drum sounds can be sculpted with an analogue EQ, while all other parameters, including frequency and waveshape, are tweakable via CV and hands-on control, allowing you to mutate percussive pulses into gritty shapes. The module will be produced in a run of 100 units and should be available "in the next couple of weeks," though no news on price is currently available. Watch Haswell's Taiko in action below.
