  • The vinyl pressing and presale service QRATES has expanded its funding options with Store Delivery, a new means to achieve vinyl financing goals with the help of record stores. When QRATES launched last year by offering an all-in-one solution for pressing, distributing and paying for a run of vinyl, users' releases could only be funded by prospective customers and the label themselves. Store Delivery opens the field to record stores, who can now browse offerings and purchase presales at wholesale prices set by the label, potentially helping users fund and release their projects. Current partners include Juno Records, Technique, HMV and Jetset, as well as over 200 brick-and-mortar stores and buyers in Europe and Japan. QRATES say that "once the vinyl is pressed at the plant, it will be automatically delivered directly to the store, increasing shipping cost efficiencies for artists and labels. Sales and geographical data are shared back to the artist/label to enable further marketing and promotional efforts." Watch a video for QRATES Store Delivery below.
