- The Chicago label will also repress Parris Mitchell's classic, Butterfly.
Dance Mania has announced it will reissue several records from its '90s catalog.
Two of the EPs come from ghetto house legend Paul Johnson—1995's functionally titled 11 P.M. Music / 2 AM Music and the lurid Sex Crazed / Track Happy. (The latter of which includes the memorable "Give Me Ecstasy.") The Chicago institution will also repress Parris Mitchell's Butter Fly.
Ray Barney's label will also issue "7 Ways," the 1986 track from house pioneer Marshall Jefferson. The 2016 versions have been remastered, and the B-side comprises new takes on "7 Ways" from Jammin Gerald. The press release says 7 Ways was instrumental to the label's aesthetic, noting "the track set the blueprint for the Dance Mania sound at the time," positioning the imprint as "a raw alternative to other label contemporaries like Trax and DJ International."
