  • San Francisco promoters Parameter and Sure Thing will present a rare Robert Hood gig at Monarch on February 27th. Active for over two decades, the minimal techno pioneer continues to keep things fresh. In 2013, Hood scored a massive hit with his spiritually-minded house track "Never Grow Old," produced under his Floorplan alias. He's dropped well-received tracks since, but this week saw the biggest news from the former UR-affiliate in some time: he'll will work with Dekmantel on three upcoming EPs and an album produced under the name Paradygm Shift. Sure Thing and Parameter are relatively new promoters, and it's safe to say this is their biggest booking yet. The former recently celebrated its first anniversary with two-days of shows featuring Bill Kouligas and M.E.S.H. while the latter has brought in UK-based talent like Pearson Sound and Bok Bok over the past year. Tickets to Parameter and Sure Thing present Robert Hood are available here on RA.
