  • Korg has revealed two new MIDI controllers, the nanoKey and nanoStudio. The nanoKEY aims to streamline step-recording with 25 velocity-sensitive pads that can be set to illuminate keys relevant to a chosen scale, while the nanoSTUDIO is a control surface suited to both DJing and production. Apart from a standard USB connection, both controllers can connect to iPad and iPhone apps such as Korg Gadget or Apple GarageBand, and more typical DAWs, via wireless. Their designs are compact enough for travel and come bundled with a suite of digital instruments, essentially making these control surfaces a standalone portable studio. The announcement comes off the back of Korg's Minilogue synthesiser, an analogue polysynth pitched at a similarly competitive price point. Watch the video below for more information.
Korg will release the nanoKEY and nanoSTUDIO for £130 in May and April respectively.
