Prurient's Hospital Productions released a cassette quadruple-pack called Various Auras: A Bird’s-Eye View Into A Machiavellian World of Secrecy today.
FACT reports the box set comprises four new ambient albums from Alessandro Cortini, Kevin Drumm, Lussuria and Regis in collaboration with Prurient (AKA Dominick Fernow). Boomkat says the label aimed to compile "original, durational ambient pieces in opposition to contemporary definitions of that sound," on Various Auras, which is limited to 469 copies.
Cortini starts things out with 60 minutes of new music which is followed by the Middle Of Nothing LP from revered Chicago experimentalist Kevin Drumm. (Drumm is quite prolific—he's already dropped two full-length recordings via his Bandcamp page in 2016.) Next up is Lussuria, who gives us Indigo Window Along Those Steps, his first new record since 2014's Industrial Illuminato (which wasalso handled by Hospital). The set concludes with a full-length from Prurient and Regis. The duo have shared the stage before, opening for Godflesh recently, and the British Murder Boy has also remixed Fernow's Vatican Shadow.
The record is being stocked exclusively at Boomkat and amounts to over two and a half hours of music.
