Marcel Fengler will release his next EP, Kyu, on February 26th.
The 12-inch is Ostgut Ton's first of the year, and Fengler's first full release of original material since his album, Fokus, in 2013. (He did contribute a track for Ostgut's Zehn compilation last year, in addition to dropping a tune on a various artists EP for his own IMF imprint.) The label says that the the three tracks on Kyu are meant as much for club play as home listening, or in their words, "an ideal companion, whether you're pruning your bonsai or branching out a club set." All three tunes—which use Japanese words as titles—expand on the ethereal sound of Fokus.
