  • Denver techno promoters Vicious Circle, formerly of the Great American Techno Festival, are throwing a party and fundraiser on Saturday, January 30th, called Holiday In Cambodia. The event, which takes its name from the confrontational Dead Kennedys song, will support Children's Future International, a Cambodian non-profit group dedicated to helping that country's most disadvantaged children. Atop the bill is Underground Resistance affiliate Santiago Salazar, the hard-working DJ and producer whose debut album, Chicanismo, dropped on Love What You Feel last fall. (Back in October we caught up with Salazar in LA for this feature.) Local support will come in the form of live sets from The Missing Link and JL Kane, and sets on the decks from Attentat and resident Alala.One. The party will take place at a new space, details for which will be revealed the week of. Purchasing a ticket also gets you entered into a raffle drawing.
