  • The next release on Ornaments will be a mini-LP from The Analog Roland Orchestra. Due out as a single 12-inch on February 1st, the eight-track Roden Crater Vision is inspired by an art project in the US desert. Artist James Turrell has transformed the 4.8 km-wide Roden Crater, located in northern Arizona, into a naked-eye observatory, from which viewers can observe sky-light, solar, and other celestial phenomena. Samples from the forthcoming release have a fittingly spacey feel, with an aesthetic that ranges from high-energy, futuristic techno through to more ambient and dub-leaning fare. Roden Crater Vision will be Ornaments' first release of 2016, and The Analog Roland Orchestra's first release on the label since the four-track Home Versions in 2013.
