Faust and Oneohtrix Point Never play Levitation Chicago

- The Austin-based festival is making a return to the Windy City in March.
- Levitation Chicago is set to return in 2016, setting up shop again at Thalia Hall from Thursday, March 10th, through Saturday March 12th. Organized and curated by psych-rock band The Black Angels and affiliated label The Reverberation Appreciation Society, Levitation is already a fixture in Austin, where the ninth annual edition will go down in late April and early May with all sorts of adventurous rock and electronic groups on hand, including Brian Wilson, Nicolas Jaar, Caribou and Flying Lotus. (Levitation has also extended its reach to Angers, France and Vancouver in recent years.) For its second annual gathering in Chicago, the festival is teaming up once more with local venue and promoter Empty Bottle, while expanding from two days to three at Thalia Hall. Legendary krautrock outfit Faust sit atop the initial lineup, and Oneohtrix Point Never, who's also booked in Austin (and whose Garden Of Delete LP earned a spot on our top 2015 albums list) will swing through Chicago for the occasion. UK producer Blanck Mass and Queens artist Eartheater are confirmed as well. Counted on the local side of things are what looks to be a collaboration between free jazz group Natural Information Society and experimental trio Bitchin Bajas, and Circuit des Yeux.
