  • LCD Soundsystem is set to reunite for Coachella 2016. The news comes after rumours of a reunion were thoroughly quashed by label DFA earlier this year. Last week, however, James Murphy and company released a brand new Christmas song that marked a reunion of sorts. Now, according to the New York Times, they'll take that momentum in 2016 with a full-fledged reunion at the California festival, which is already famous for reuniting bands. (They'll do it alongside Guns N' Roses.) Though representatives for both groups have declined to comment, the Times says the news comes from "a person with direct knowledge of the festival’s plans, who was not authorized to discuss it publicly." LCD Soundsystem officially broke up in 2011 with a farewell show in New York, which was later immortalized as a box set. The festival is set to go down in Indio, California over two weekends: April 15th through 17th, and the 22nd through 24th.
