Caribou, Nicolas Jaar to play Levitation 2016

- Levitation Festival has announced the lineup for its three-day 2016 event, set to take place April 29th through May 1st at Carson Creek Ranch in Austin, Texas. Levitation began in 2008 as the brainchild of the psychedelic band The Black Angels. In previous years, the festival has been known as Austin Psych Fest, and the new handle suggests a more liberal booking policy. For instance, Other People star Nicolas Jaar, Oneohtrix Point Never and Flying Lotus are on this year's bill. Caribou and Animal Collective are also set to play Levitation, along with dub pioneer Lee 'Scratch' Perry. Levitation has also managed to bring in Beach Boys legend Brian Wilson, who will perform his group's beloved Pet Sounds album, as well as shoegazers Slowdive and Sonic Youth members Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo, who are booked for respective solo sets.
