  • Cityfox is throwing its next party in New York this coming Saturday, December 12th. The Swiss-American promoter has been throwing large-scale events for years now, but they hit a snag on Halloween when their party was cancelled by the FDNY just shortly after doors opened. The organizers have since come out criticizing the Fire Department, saying their claims about the venue were "patently and demonstrably false." Now the crew are reconvening for their first New York event since, which will happen at 1260 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn. They've got Martin Buttrich and M.A.N.D.Y. on hand for headlining duties, along with appearances from Thugfucker, Bedouin and Frank & Tony. San Francisco favourites Solar and Galen are also booked, along with names like Patlac, Mike Khoury and Dubtribe Sound System. It's a four room party that also includes a lounge with interactive art installations. Tickets have been priced lower this time around. Creative director Billy Bildstein told RA over email that the crew see it as "a return event of sorts." "We've had 13 successful Brooklyn events in the last two years before our Halloween event's closure," he adds, "With the disappointment and the inaccurate reporting around it, we wanted to come back soon and strong, since we create events for the community and for our guests, they are the center of our attention. So, we assembled a great lineup and now we're doing what we love to do: produce something special, push boundaries and the music, we personally want that satisfaction," he added. "This event will be special—four different sized rooms, great production, intimate spaces, chill out areas, and some unique art." Tickets are available on RA.
