  • Pescara nightspot Zu::Bar has been forced to close for 90 days by police, effective immediately. News of the situation first surfaced on Sunday, November 29th, when German DJ DeWalta, who was booked to play the club on Saturday night, posted on his Facebook page about "a police squat team including sniffing dogs" raiding the party. Several days later, on Tuesday, December 1st, Zu::Bar posted a statement of their own via Facebook, confirming that the club had to shut. "In any case we can't win [against] the hypocrisy of this city," it read. This isn't the first time Zu::Bar has faced the wrath of the authorities. Just last month, the club had to close for 15 days because of a fight. In April 2014, police issued a previous 90-day penalty closure due to drug violations and overcrowding, while in 2012 a 33-year old man died outside the venue from an overdose.
