- The New York artist is the latest addition to the UK label's roster.
Lafawndah has signed with Warp Records, with her next EP, Tan, coming out in February 2016.
The New York artist surfaced with a self-titled EP last year, as well as appearing as a guest vocalist on last November's Thermal EP by Teengirl Fantasy. With the four-track Tan, Lafawndah gets her most prominent release yet. The record was made on Fire Island in New York with a "minimal studio setup," aided by collaborators Nick Weiss and Tamer Fahri. Later, she moved the sessions to Manhattan and was joined by ADR and Night Slugs boss L-Vis 1990, who helped her "realize a warped vision of esoteric industrial rhythms," according to the label, which also compares Tan to Muslimgauze and Leila.
