  • A woman has jumped or fallen overboard at the Mad Decent Boat Party. The boat cruise departed from Miami on November 11th with a planned arrival in Cozumel, Mexico, on November 15th. Last night, one day into the journey, a woman went overboard the Norwegian Pearl just off the coast of Cuba. According to a statement from Mad Decent, the ship's crew immediately notified the Coast Guard and started search and rescue missions, including sending out lifeboats. Billboard reports that passengers were sent back to their rooms for a headcount, and that the ship is traveling back to the closest location to where the woman was last seen onboard the vessel. Norwegian Cruise Lines issued the following statement: "On Thursday, November 12th during a chartered cruise on Norwegian Pearl, a female guest was observed intentionally going overboard while the ship was sailing the Yucatan Channel. The ship's crew immediately initiated rescue measures, including deploying three rescue boats and notifying the Coast Guard and other relevant authorities. The search for the guest is ongoing. Both the ship and charter company teams are providing support to the family and all impacted guests during this difficult time."
