Bloc announces Thom Yorke, Jeff Mills for 2016 festival

- Bloc has revealed more than 50 artists playing its 2016 festival, running from March 11th through 13th. The UK weekender returned to the festival circuit last year for the first time since 2012. The 2016 edition will make use of the same venue, Butlins Resort in Minehead, with Jeff Mills, Ben Klock, Omar-S, Rødhåd, Ben UFO, Midland, Helena Hauff, Objekt, Shanti Celeste, Steevio & Suzybee and Carl Craig all invited back to perform. New acts include Radiohead's Thom Yorke, who will be performing his recent solo album, Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, plus Holly Herndon, Demdike Stare, Powell, Dasha Rush, Aurora Halal, Laurel Halo, Lakker, Magic Mountain High, Fatima Yamaha and Trade, AKA Surgeon and Blawan. There are also DJ slots for Four Tet, Floating Points, Nina Kraviz, Daniel Avery, MCDE, Fast Eddie, Sandrien, Jane Fitz, James Ruskin, dBridge, Ø [Phase], Bicep, Steffi and Lone, as well as back-to-backs from Tama Sumo and Lakuti, and Andrew Weatherall and Optimo. Former British snooker player and progressive rock enthusiast Steve Davis will also perform, DJing for the first time at a dance music event. More names will be announced in the coming months.
