- Stand Up And Speak will come out via Body High and Loma Vista next January.
DJDS (formerly DJ Dodger Stadium) will drop their second album on January 29th.
The LA-based duo of Samo Sound Boy and Jerome LOL released their first full-length, Friend Of Mine, last summer. For Stand Up And Speak, the duo have changed their approach: instead of using sampled vocals, on the two producers worked with live vocalists (as well as players) that they found around LA, including a hotel doorman who sings on "Stand Up And Speak." They've also changed moods, with the new one reportedly "capturing a distinctly Californian sense of community and pioneer spirit" compared to the more downtrodden and emotional themes of the first. It'll come via their own label Body High, in collaboration with Loma Vista Recordings. Check out the title track below.
