  • Enei will drop his next LP, Rituals, on December 4th. Aleksei Egorchenkov is one of Russia's most prominent drum & bass producers, and a stalwart of the Critical Music roster, responsible for some of the UK label's heaviest and most enduring club hits. He released his first solo album, Machines, for Critical back in 2012, and the road to Rituals has been a long one. Egorchenkov decided to start work on his new LP a year-and-a-half ago, beginning with sessions with vocalist Charli Brix and plugging on from there. His methods and studio setups changed several times in that period. Other collaborators include vocalists DRS, Frank Carter III and Peta Oneir and producers Mefjus, Foreign Concept, Critical boss Kasra and Eastcolors (who has worked with Enei extensively in the past). "I've simply got so many ideas in my head, writing every day," Egorchenkov says. "The album name came about from a real love for various native and world musics, very ritualistic as are we all in our daily lives. We live by rituals, really, when you think about it." Tracklist 01.
