  • Martin Buttrich has started his own label called Rhythm Assault. The Barcelona-based German already has a hand in one record label—Desolat—which he set up alongside Loco Dice in 2007. In contrast, the new outlet will be home to Buttrich's own music, with the producer saying it'll be "free from the constraints of rigorously organised and planned imprints." The inaugural outing is a one-track collaboration with Mathew Jonson titled "Synchronicity," the first in a new EP series that will see Buttrich join forces with the likes of Carl Craig, Guti, DJ Tennis, Loco Dice, Timo Maas, The Martinez Brothers and Guy Gerber. The series is called Collaborators. RA 001 is available now digitally. Listen to "Synchronicity" in full below.
