In late October, Terre Thaemlitz will head to the states for two DJ gigs and a lecture.
DJ Sprinkles will take a quick trip to America beginning with a lecture and DJ set in LA on October 29th.
This year, Sprinkles put out a second collaborative 12-inch with Mark Fell. That one, called Fresh Insights EP 2, included speech samples from the late Labour Party politician Tony Benn as well as Trade Union leader Arthur Scargill. One of the foremost thinkers in the dance music game, Thaemlitz wrote an essay called Secrecy Wave Manifesto for the Japanese publication Farben last year—that piece serves as the basis for his talk in LA, which will take place at South of Sunset on October 29th. Later that night, she spins at Hollywood club Golden Box for Dig Deeper. The next evening, she's at Output's Panther Room with Brooklyn mainstay Ital for the long-running French Kiss party.
Tickets to the LA and NYC parties are available on RA.
